Volunteer Appreciation Event
Coronavirus restrictions couldn’t stop us from showing [socially distanced] love and appreciation to this ministry’s amazing volunteers! We held our annual Volunteer Appreciation event on Saturday morning, October 17th. Staff members, board members, and interns gathered in a parking lot at Southeast Christian Church to celebrate our volunteers with a drive-through appreciation event. We held homemade signs, rang cowbells, and cheered loudly as volunteers drove through the parking lot. Each volunteer received a gift bag of goodies as a tangible “thank you” for their service. The weather even cooperated for us – it was a beautiful day!
Even though the format had to change this year from that of our usual Volunteer Appreciation event, we were still grateful for the chance to demonstrate our thankfulness and briefly connect face-to-face with servants of the ministry. It’s a joy for us as a staff to plan this event, put together gifts, and set aside time to think about the indispensable role that volunteers play in the ministry of BsideU.
Thanks to all of our loving, faithful volunteers!
