A recurring theme coming out of the pandemic is that we’ve learned that we’re not made for isolation. God created us to live and work together in community, navigating life’s challenges and sharing its joys with family, friends and neighbors. We’re reminded of how true this is for the ministry at BsideU For Life as well. We are only able to live out this mission of saving babies and their moms for Christ because of you, our community of supporters. It’s your prayers, giving, volunteering and standing shoulder to shoulder with us in the fight to turn hearts toward life that keeps our doors open to the moms and babies in our community that need us. We are so thankful for you!
We have a few events coming up in the next few months, and hope to see you at one or both of them. One of those is the Team Life Bike ride, happening on Saturday, August 14th. The ride starts at Crossroads Christian Church in St. Matthews, and you can choose between our 10, 23 or 50 mile routes. Registration opens at 7:30am, and that’s when the pancakes start flipping too! Each rider can sign up here: https://www.bsideu.org/teamlife/, and it’s easy to create your own page to raise funds for your ride. While you’re there, you can also track our overall fundraising progress against our goal. Don’t tell the golf scramble committee, but our bike ride committee is pretty sure they’re going to raise more than them this year.
We still have sponsorship opportunities available. If you are interested in sponsoring this event, you can contact Leisa Ray at email@example.com.
Back in person this year, our Annual Banquet Benefit is on Tuesday, September 14th at the Fairgrounds South Wing Ballroom. It will be an evening to remember, not only because we get to see all of you again (we held this event virtually last year, and the year before that had a series of smaller events instead of the banquet), but also because our keynote speaker is Roland Warren. Roland is the President and CEO of Care Net, a network that serves over one thousand pregnancy centers across North America. Warren, a Princeton University and Wharton Business School graduate is dedicated to saving the lives of unborn children, and ensuring that their mothers and fathers can experience the abundant life that Christ brings. He is also dedicated to encouraging the pro-life community to become more Pro Abundant Life. We’ll share more details soon, but for now, save the date!
